Lollard Street Adventure Playground

Following cuts to government funding which meant that Lambeth Council was unable to run the playground themselves, Lollard Street Adventure Playground re-opened under the management of the Kennington Association on October 25th 2013. You can find out more on the playground's website.

During school term time, the playground is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 3.30pm - 7pm. During school holidays, the playground is open every weekday from 10.30am - 4pm.

We welcome volunteers (subject to police checks) and new members on to the Lollard Street Adventure Playground Steering Committee. We also welcome donations of any bikes, scooters or other robust toys or sports gear that your children or grandchildren might have outgrown.

"Lollard Adventure Playground, Lollards Street. A joint initiative from the LCC, Lambeth Borough, the National Playing Fields Association and the local community helped to set up this enterprise, converting a derelict bombsite into an adventure playground for children of all ages. This view shows the Lollard Adventure Playground Association and a leader keep an eye on the children, who are involved in converting the site into a playground."
